Wings in Pembroke Pines are serious business. We could drive up to Fort Lauderdale for a fancy steak, sure.

But why would we, when our own backyard has everything from a bar pouring heavy drinks until midnight to a spot where the meat falls off the bone before you even lift it? I ate at twelve places so you don’t have to.

I found one with a Caribbean-Indian flavor mashup that shouldn’t work but absolutely does. And I survived a visit to a nightclub that made me want to call my lawyer.

The good news? The list below is mostly winners.

Go eat.

Munchie's Pizza Club is the new kid on the block, and I'm already a fan. The staff is kind, and the value is solid. Big screens everywhere, so you won't miss a play. It's a fun spot where the food actually holds up. I walked in solo and left with new friends. That's rare. The vibe is easy, and the wings are no joke. Give it a shot before the crowd finds it. Backyard is a bar first, wings second. And that's okay. Open bar from 9 to 12, which is dangerous. Staff is friendly, heavy vibes. The atmosphere carries the night. Drink prices are steep, but you get what you pay for. Check hours before you roll in. I didn't. Showed up early once. Awkward. Still, for a late-night wing run with friends, it works. Just plan ahead.
