The problem with Boca sushi is that it’s usually either overpriced and stiff or fine enough to forget. But this list is the fix.

I ate my way from Sunset Sushi’s rowdy omakase counter to Saka Asian Kitchen’s pad thai, so trust me. One night I’m chasing a tuna goma roll at Naamah, the next I’m fighting my son for outdoor seats at Embarcadero 41.

The range is wild. The fish flies in fresh, and the martinis at Yakitori Sake House pack a wallop.
